CORONA-VIRUS UPDATE
PRE-SCREENING

First of all we at Your Health & Wellness Clinic would like to thank all our valued clients for their patience and support during this time. These have been confusing times and we would like to clarify as much as we can about how we are operating as a Massage Therapy practice.

Since May 27th the Ontario Government and the Ontario Chief Medical Officer of Health have been giving regular directives for Regulated Health Professionals in the services to be carried out with adherence to guidance from each health profession’s regulatory college. The directive includes Registered Massage Therapists (RMTs) under the guidance of our College of Massage Therapists of Ontario (CMTO). We want to clarify that at this time our College, the CMTO, has given RMTs clear minimum guidelines to practice under, which still includes limiting the number of in-person visits by prioritizing our clients care-needs. Our first priority as Massage Therapists is to the health and safety of our clients, ourselves and our families and to ensure that the benefits of treatment outweigh any risks involved.

We constantly receiving direction on our practices and procedure guidelines that ensure we operate safely. These include, but are not limited to, the pre-screening of clients twice before every treatment, increased frequency of handwashing & cleaning practices, increased signage, documentation and record keeping of practices, the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) such as face masks for ourselves and clients and additional health & safety training.

Please remain patient as these guidelines are our priority, and we reiterate that the wearing of a mask within our clinic during treatment is a requirement. As we have stated before the health & safety of everyone is our top priority.
